After a hard fought win away from home at Stuttgart, Bayern Munich moved eight points clear of Dortmund on the Bundensliga table. Douglas Costa sealed the victory for the Bavarians to move eight points clear of Dortmund who will face Schalke on Sunday. Bayern got their first goal when Niedermeier (Stuttgart captain) deflected a low cross from Frank Ribery into the net. David Alaba scored the second goal for Bayern just 5 minutes after the restart of the game. Douglas Costa also struck another goal to bring the match to 3 - 1 in favour of the Bavarians.
Werder Bremen lost at home to Augsburg 1 - 2 and Hoffenheim won away at Eintracht Frankfurt 0 - 2.
